We had an early flight out of Bhutan. We arrived at the airport at 5:30 am, only to be told that our flight was delayed by 2 hours.
The advantage of arriving so early was that I was able to request (and receive) a window seat on the right side of the plane.

Hello, Mt Everest!

When I took this photo, I had a Chinese woman leaning over me, her phone cord dangling in my food, trying to hog the window.
On my first day in Nepal, Meisie and I booked a scenic flight to Mt Everest. Tomorrow, I’ll have a window seat all to myself.

One way in which Bhutan differs from Nepal was that there are hardly any motorbikes in Bhutan. It’s like China and Japan in that regard.
Here in Kathmandu, there are hundreds.

We went out after lunch to do some shopping. We all had Nepalese money we wanted to get rid of. There are few footpaths in Kathmandu, so it’s imperative to be aware of the traffic.

A little lawn inside your car? Why not?

We were taken out for a farewell dinner on our last full night in Nepal. Meisie and I left early. We were booked to meet our driver at 5 AM for our scenic flight.
